[Bug 491111] [NEW] linux kernel 2.6.24.25-rt system hangs using network

Public bug reported:

Use of network (WWW via Firefox (3.5), or Update Manager) causes complete system lockup when running on my system with kernel 2.6.24.25-rt.  This was repeatable.  The system appears to be fine using 2.6.24.24-rt.
There was no response to keyboard or mouse, the screen was not updating: a reset was required for reboot.
The system is a fully patched 8.04 with proposed updates, plus backports.
