I'd doubt it, especially on a brand new laptop (my Dell is under a month old). Either way, I'm not noticing anything to do with temperature

I'm running 2.6.32 and right after the update and restart of the machine
it worked for about four minutes longer but then it reverted back to
working only during startup an a short time afterwards
