@Raf:  Could you explain how to disable /lib/udev/rules.d/95-devkit-
disks.rules (using dpkg-divert) so I can apply the workaround - the
corruption is finally starting to hit my setup over the past couple of
days.

One good thing has came out of a good Windows tech but linux n00b
fumbling about not really knowing what he was doing - I got Scott
involved :-)
