Public bug reported:

- two systems:
up-to-date (last update ~17Dec09) Karmic installation on Asus W3V with internal bluetooth
           uname -a : Linux zbook 2.6.31-16-generic #53 SMP Tue Dec 8 04:01:29 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux
           Description:	Ubuntu 9.10
           Release:	9.10
Hardy installation on desktop pc (last update mid of July 2008, was not online since then)
           uname -a : Linux zbox 2.6.24-19-generic #1 SMP Fri Jul 11 21:01:46 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux
           Description:	Ubuntu 8.04.1
           Release:	8.04
- isdn dial-in via bluetooth isdn modem (Fritz! AP-ISDN)
sudo ciptool search; sudo capiinit start; pon isdn/arcor

With BlueFritz! USB dongle both channels work under hardy/desktop.
Karmic/notebook with internal bluetooth and the usb dongle freezes system after using network (ping works, starting firefox,evolution,skype,... freezes shortly after startup, highly reproducible). System completely freezed, Alt-SysRq-.. doesn't work. Turn off via press and hold power button for several seconds.
(kernel 2.6.31-14 and -15 have the same problem)

lsusb of BlueFritz! (hardy/desktop)
Bus 005 Device 010: ID 057c:3800 AVM GmbH BlueFRITZ! Bluetooth Stick

lsusb of internal bluetooth (karmic/notebook)
Bus 003 Device 002: ID 044e:3001 Alps Electric Co., Ltd UGTZ4 Bluetooth

An older kernel (jaunty kernel) under karmic/notebook doesn't freeze system using internal bluetooth, but touchpad isn't working (any usb mouse works fine)
uname -a : Linux zbook 2.6.28-13-generic #45-Ubuntu SMP Tue Jun 30 19:49:51 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux
lsusb with this kernel doesn't work
I tried to revert bluez and capiutils,..., but capi modules do not work properly

I couldn't test 2.6.24, since it does not even start.

Browsing, receiving and sending files on my Sony Ericsson K750i works
with the internal bluetooth.

My guess is the bluetooth system in the kernel (btusb). The bluez and
capiutils packages on both computers have different version. I don't
have an ISDN pci card or a different adapter to test wether it is the
capi kernel stuff.

Thanks for any help,
Martin
