wouter, you are using a different driver and experiencing a different
bug. i've changed the bug watch to link to the correct bug upstream

the last commenter on that bug provided: 
"This seems only to happen with Wireless Encrypten of Mixed WPA/WPA2

WPA or WPA-2 only or other encryptions and unencrypted seems to work
fine"
