[Bug 397608] [NEW] Problem on VM read-only mount filesystem

I have ubuntu 6.06 with kernel version 2.6.15-53-server its running on
VMware ESX 3.0.2 Host problem is often my filesystem go mounted read-
only problem because of mptscsih.c bug i know that but but problem is i
am not able to update kernel and this is critical server so i will never
update it because problem is application dependency. do you have any
patch so i can apply this patch without kernel update.

How to build module after applying patch. let me know.
