[Bug 473840] [NEW] sound and graphic bugs on hp compaq cq40-518au

i'm using 8.04 on HP-Compaq CQ40-518AU. everything works out of the box, but..
the volume level not working, tried to lower the volume level but no effect. the speaker still producing high sound.
and also the graphic, especially when i turn off the laptop. the progress bar is messy. the video playback is also choppy/low pixel.
one more thing, my system specs says the screen resolution is 1366x768.but i only got resolution max at 1280x800.
