Hi,

had same Problem with Huawai E660 PCMCIA Datacard which my Laptop shows
as USB-Device on WinXP. VirtualBox grabs the whole USB Port and forwards
it to Ubsudo untu where it works until 9.04.

lsusb:
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 12d1:1003 Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. E220 HSDPA Modem / E270 HSDPA/HSUPA Modem

When booting with attached USB-Modem, the usb-storage mounts a new drive
but UMTS doesn`t work.

--> Attached Modem after reboot --> Everything works! THANKS!
