[Bug 407790] Re: [Regression] No sound with Karmic on HP HDX 9300

After installing the "linux-backports-modules-alsa-karmic-generic"
package I have noticed that sound is working better on this model of
laptop than ever before. All speakers are working as they should, both
of the headphone jacks are now functional & the built-in bi directional
mics are also fully functional. That is awesome!

The only minor issue that is remaining is that jack-sensing does not
appear to be enabled (i.e. the speakers do not mute when headphones are
inserted into either of the headphone jacks). When headphones are
inserted, sound is output from both the speakers & the headphones.

Is there any more information required to help resolve this issue?
