You have been subscribed to a public bug:
There similar earlier bugs, but apparently in kernel 2.6.27 something
has changed again and make-kpkg fails again.
Steps to produce:
- unpack ubuntu 8.10 (ibex) kernel
- make changes and try to build deb packages with 'make-kpkg'
- dpkg -i headers & images
This works fine on local machine which has the source tree, but if you
move the *.deb packages to another machine and install the kernel and
headers, the result cannot be used to compile modules.
Attempts fails on some missing file ".../arch/x86/Makefile_32.cpu"
There are some earlier bug reports concerning "Makefile.cpu". These have
been fixed, I guess the same fix needs to be installed using a new
name....?
