This is supposed to be fix in upstream stable by: Staging: rt2860sta:
prevent a panic when disabling when associated
There is currently a kernel compiling in my PPA at https://launchpad.net/~stefan-bader-canonical/+archive/karmic
(2.6.31-16.51~pre2). If that finishes, could someone test whether this is true? Thanks.
