[Bug 441009] [NEW] dvd device returning wrong size

Public bug reported:

I was trying to play a dvd and getting strange errors.  Played the first
20 minutes or so and then stopped.  Played around for a bit and noticed
that it thought the block device is only 1GB in size with the same
symptoms as:

With one DVD in, I see:

Tried a few DVDs in the end, but all seemed to give similar results---
the reported size changed a bit depending on the DVD, but the kernel
always reported it being 1GiB in size.

Not sure if this should be reported against the kernel, but couldn't
think of anything better.

Let me know if any other details would help.  The suggested "ubuntu-bug
-p linux" gave an error?!  So will attach recommended files.
