This bug was fixed in the package module-init-tools - 3.10-3

  FFE LP: #427356.

  * Replace init script with Upstart job.
    - This drops support for the long deprecated (and never documented)
      /etc/modules-2.6 and /etc/modules-2.6.24 forms
  * debian/control:
    - Add missing ${misc:Depends}
    - Bump build-dependency on debhelper for Upstart-aware dh_installinit
