Similar issue as in bug 553609:

I'm trying to netboot a system (in this case, a Toshiba NB200) which
uses the r8169 driver to handle its network card.

The system boots from the network successfully and properly loads the
kernel, but fails to detect the NIC from inside the initrd image if
booted from the daily lucid desktop image (20100401).

The system boots completely and completes the installer when started
using the daily server image.

I will be adding the output of 'uname -a', /proc/version_signature,
'dmesg' and 'sudo lspci -vnvn' as soon as I can get them.
