Public bug reported:
I'm not sure exactly what the wireless adapter is called but it should
have the information needed to identify it in the debug info generated
by apport.
Basically, I haven't tried using the terminal to connect yet, though if
instructions are given I could do this. In network manager no wireless
networks show up and trying to connect to a wireless network I know
exists using "Connect to Hidden Wireless Network" fails after a while of
the icon flashing and prompts me to re-enter the information.
This is a regression as this worked in previous kernel/Ubuntu version.
The last version of Ubuntu this work in was 7.10, I'm not sure what the
kernel version was but it worked with all the kernels I used in that
version of Ubuntu. Upgrading to 8.04 broke.
The only way to get it to work with new versions of Ubuntu is via
ndiswrapper. However it is incapable of WPA encryption therefore I have
to reduce my network to running on WEP.
