** Description changed:

  My ethernet wired connection only works after I reboot and not from a
  cold reboot. There used to be an error in Hardy, Ibex, Jaunty that said
  unsupported pm caps version 7 after a reboot. The network card does
  indeed have this version 7 and this is probably the issue.I am curious
  to find a fix for this issue so that I don't have to boot twice to use
  my computer on the internet.
