Binary package hint: upstart
Booting with the '--verbose' parameter added to the kernel line of
GRUB's boot stanza results in a black screen (backlight turned off).
Remote login revealed that nouveaufb didn't get loaded:
[22:10] ~ $ cat /proc/fb
0 VGA16 VGA
Attaching syslog and Xorg.0.log from the failed boot.
I'm not sure if the problem is upstart, plymouth, nouveau, or something
else so don't be mad if I got it wrong. ;-)
