@klerfayt: Thank you for posting the information.  I have modified the
PPA test fix (from comment #7).  Please update again, verify that "apt-
cache policy udev" shows the updated version (Installed:
151-8~kamal~volkeys1), reboot, and then check the volume keys behavior
once again.
