Public bug reported:
since 2.6.32, I need to hdparm -W0 /dev/sda to get full performance
(e.g. hdparm -t /dev/sda while miranda on wine write continously a bit)
also, with "disabled" write cache, the hdd-led lights at ca. 25% of full strengts while running miranda if write cache is "on".
Didn't had that on 2.6.31.
HDD-Info:
Model Number: TOSHIBA MK3252GSX
Firmware Revision: LV010A
is a 320 GB, 2,5', 5400 rpm, sata modell in a lenovo x61t.
I'm running current lucid.
** Affects: linux (Ubuntu)
