I got lucid lynx beta using "nosplash nouveau.noaccel=1 vga=711"
(...using Kubuntu though :-). I've installed but have some issues:

  - X wont autostart (need to "startx")
  - automount does not work (might be an KDE bug !?)
  - random crashes of various apps

@Chris Halse R (+ note to self): not sure if I have the time to spend to
try-out the "nouveau" stuff. Well, maybe yes... tomorrow!?
