[Bug 559860] [NEW] loading ssb.ko hard freezes the machine (dep of b43)

Public bug reported:

after upgrading to lucid even my old (from karmic) kernel locked up loading ssb (Sonics Silicon Backplane driver)/b43
blacklisting both let the machine boot; hard locks on modprobe ssb

i tried the "backport" modules for the kernel in lucid, same deal

this is a compaq mini 110c-1100dx

trying and will report back with mainline daily asap.
