[Bug 563102] [NEW] Unable to get any GUI other than Plymouth

Public bug reported:
When booting into linux-image-2. 2.6.32-20.30 I am unable to get into graphics mode.
I get dumped into TTY after Plymouth
Steps to reproduce:
1. Boot kernel version linux-image-2. 2.6.32-20.30
2. See Plymouth just fine
3. End up into TTY
4. Log in and run the following command:
sudo /etc/init.d/gdm restart (or stop than start)
5. GDM never starts
What i expect to happen:
After Plymouth either login page or right into GDM
What happens:
After Plymouth i get dumped into TTY
Will attach more info with Apport
