[Bug 563377] [NEW] RFE apply patch for missing USB device indentifier in RT2870 driver

Public bug reported:

The current kernel (2.6.32-20-generic) ships an rt2870 module which
fails to claim the ASUS USB-N11 device. This is caused by the fact that
the appropriate device identifier (0x1761, 0x0b05) is not listed in
among the device table in drivers/staging/rt2870/2870_main_dev.c
(Verified by inspecting the kernel source from linux-source-2.6.32.)

There exists and older bug report for this with more details here:

In fact an experimental kernel was produced with associated kernel patch:

I would like to ask Ubuntu developers to include this patch in the stock
kernel, once again.
