I first noticed this problem more than 2 years ago :

And never found a solution. I've been away most of that period, but that bug still annoyed me a lot during several months.

What didn't help me is that openwrt did not provide a way to configure
this by default. After seeing your comment, I quickly got help from an
openwrt developer to do that, and in the future version it should be
possible to configure that out of the box.
