when adding nomodeset to the kernel parameters on a Samsung R60
with ATI Technologies Inc Radeon Xpress 1250 [1002:7942]
the machine boots without freezing at the black screen

using the standard grub entry the system still freezes at a black screen
on a  Beta 2 with all of today's updates that is.
