You have been subscribed to a public bug:

1) Release: Ubuntu 10.04 Beta 2 Desktop x64
2) Version of Package: Not sure
3) System to boot into the live environment or the installer.
4) System hangs, does not boot into a CLI or GUI environment. In expert mode the system gives the above error on TTL1 and the below error on TTL 7:

(process:399): GLib-WARNING **: getpwduid_r(): failed due to unknown
user id (0)

This is booting with a thumbdrive that was setup under Ubuntu 9.10 using
the USB Creator application. I currently do not have any optical media
to test with.

I am happy to troubleshoot I just need to be told what to do.

** Affects: linux (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
