Some pieces of information :
Installed version Lucid Lynx :  Linux portable 2.6.32-21-generic #32-Ubuntu SMP Fri Apr 16 08:10:02
The crash occurs after the boot sequence once the desktop is displayed.
The crash may appear several times sequentialy.
This kernel problem appear after the apt-get update done on the 16th 8pm (gmt+2 local time)
