You have been subscribed to a public bug:

After rebooting from a recent update (update posted in-between 10 April
2010 and 16 April 2010) my server can no longer boot.

It goes to a busybox recovery console, which indicates that absolutely
no "sd*" devices in /dev.

The boot drive is on an LSI SAS 1068 controller, but there is also an
SATA drive attached to the onboard SATA controller (Intel 3010 chipset
on a Supermicro PDSME+ motherboard). Neither are detected.

The error message is:

ALERT! /dev/disk/by-uuid/4fcf...31a does not exist.
Dropping to a shell!

Expected result: Boots

** Affects: linux (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
