  - CD drive doesn't appear in Rhythmbox as well. And this is true for my
  cd burner and my cd/dvd drive.
  
  Additional information if it can help :
  - I can't burn any cd (R or RW) with brasero.
-   -> After inserting an new CD-R in my cd burner, a CD icon appear on my desktop, but the "select disk" combo display  "SLAX : not enough space available"  (quoted text translated from French !)
-   -> Trying to blank a CD-RW result in the "select disk" combo of the "blank disk" panel, displaying "no disk available"
