** Description changed:
- Mint's kernel 2.6.31.x seems to be missing the driver for this WiFi
- chipset. The driver is available from
- http://www.ralinktech.com/ralink/Home/Support/Linux.html
+ Mint 8 Helena's kernel 2.6.31.14-generic seems to be missing the driver
+ for this WiFi chipset. The driver is available from
+ http://www.ralinktech.com/support.php?s=2 (get the top one with the
+ label "RT3090PCIe Date 02/22/2010 Version 2.3.1.4").
modprobe rt3090sta
makes the WiFi work excellently. No stability issues seen.
Can Mint add this driver without waiting for kernel upstream to do so?
