Ubuntu lucid beta 2:
boot, do nothing, kernel panic
boot, spacebar on purple screen, F6, add: acpi=off noapic pnpbios=off, boot normal

workaround still works.

i've also notised that when i shutdown my laptop will hang on a black
screen, when i press the power button, it shuts down immediately. reboot
however works normally. has this something to do with the acpi thing?
