Public bug reported:
Hardware:
I have two Samsung phones (SGH-G400 + B2100), so I am able to check HW aspects completely. Tried different cable and different phone. Result: It's not an hardware damage. Maybe the SGH-G400 has different timing or answer behaviour?
But: SGH-G400 completely works under Windows.
AND: It was completely working under Ubuntu 08.04!!!
I updated to 9.10 and everything went bad. AND: Under the current BETA 2
of 10.4 (started from live-CD) everything is also bad (not an optimal
start for an LTS?!).
So this is kind regression bug, which occurred at the latest at 9.10 !?
I did not choose another bug entry, because this bug is always
reproducable.
For provision of fixes, please refer to Ubuntu 9.10, because I have no time to install 10.04 on hard drive.
Or you persuade me to do parallel install...
For me this has high priority, because my wife wants to have access to her photos..... booting to Windows is not a real alternative.... cause she loves Ubuntu...
;-))
Bye,
Sven
