Yes, it worked in Karmic. It's an A110L. The lscpi -vvnn output includes
the following, same as in comment #6:

04:00.0 System peripheral [0880]: JMicron Technology Corp. SD/MMC Host Controller [197b:2382]
        Subsystem: Acer Incorporated [ALI] Device [1025:015b]

I could upload the full output...would that help?
