The bug, randomly reproducible under Karmic, does not apply to Lucid. I
don't know if this report should remain open, it seems that there's
definitely something wrong with Karmic and proprietary NVidia graphic
drivers (bug did not happen on my laptop which has the same partition
scheme as my other computers, i.e. a partition for "/", another for
"/usr", another for "/var", another for "/home", another for "/tmp" and
SWAP) but the issue has disappeared with Lucid.
