#58-Ubuntu SMP Fri Mar 12 05:23:09 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux.

I am no longer experiencing this problem. If would suggest closing this
bug, but I'm really glad to see the follow up on this.

I have an occasional related problem when booting (hung with a blank
screen trying to start the window manager), but until I can reproduce
that one regularly, I can't really post anything.
