I  manually installed these packages:

linux-headers-2.6.32-020632_2.6.32-020632_all.deb
linux-headers-2.6.32-020632-generic_2.6.32-020632_amd64.deb
linux-image-2.6.32-020632-generic_2.6.32-020632_amd64.deb

Ubuntu 9.10 on my Lenovo Y530 has been stable since then.

I think Lucid Lynx uses kernel 2.6.32 and comes out next week.
