Every time I tried to enable encryption on install and hibernate I got
these kernel crashes. Every time I tried an install without encryption
then hibernate worked as expected. I gave as much information as I knew
how to give at the time. After messing with it for several weeks and not
getting anywhere, I gave up and I do not run encryption. I apologize,
but I completely forgot about filing the bug report....

I am approaching finals week and I need my laptop working. I do not have
time to rebuild the laptop with encryption to try again. If you want to
close this bug I understand. After finals I will try again with the
latest release of Ubuntu and if it does not work then I will reopen it.
If it does work, then the bug will be gone.
