Actually, it is still present, but I fixed it myself. I forgot I had
filed this bug or I would have posted the solution here. The problem is
caused by the SD card reader built into the laptop. I keep a memory card
in it pretty much all the time. For some reason the reader prevents the
laptop from sleeping completely. So, I just have it unload the kernel
module for the reader prior to suspend and reload it upon resume. This
is done by creating (or editing) a file called 10modules in
/etc/pm/config.d to contain the following
SUSPEND_MODULES="sdhci_pci sdhci mmc_block mmc_core"
Simple as that. It still has the annoying problem of remounting your SD
card every time you reboot which causes a new Nautilus window to pop up,
but I've learned to deal with it.
