[Bug 360342] Re: compaq b1900 laptop fails to resume after suspend

(I tried to use apport-collect to add to this bug, but apport-collect
told me I should rather create a new bug report and comment that it is a
duplicate of this bug. So I tried doing that with ubuntu-bug, which led
me back to this bug. Please let me know if I should attach anything.)

I have the same laptop, Compaq Presario B1900, with the same symptoms as
described by pyongyangmetro: on attempting resume, HDD LED is on (not
blinking or flashing) and fan is on. Backlight appears to stay off,
completely black. It stays in this state indefinitely; a hard reboot is
necessary.

Currently running lucid 10.04 RC. The same symptoms were present in
karmic 9.10.
