  At least as of linux-image-2.6.31-14-generic 2.6.31-14.48 the kernel
  packes does not ínclude the kernel modules necessary to access some
  specific hardware used on Thinkpad laptops - I was quite happy to find
  them in some earlier packages in karmic and sadly miss them, cause
  compiling them manually is not what I like best ;-)
