I had not tried it in a long time, but -surprise- it does work now!
I also tried it with the latest development release from the DVD, and it
worked again, but did not restore an application I had started. I had to
close the DVD version without going to hibernate to get it to boot normally,
otherwise the computer locks up and requires a manual hardware reset to go
back to the original. I guess it works. I do not want to install the 10.04
version cleanly - too many configured applications.
