[Bug 569731] [NEW] Boot process fails with 2.6.32 kernel on Latitude XT

Public bug reported:

The boot process fails with release candidate 10.4 together with kernels
vmlinuz-2.6.32-20-generic and vmlinuz-2.6.32-21-generic. The boot
process finishes with old kernel vmlinuz-2.6.31-20-generic .

No output to the screen after the first two to four seconds of the boot
process. This happens also in single user mode.

This report is filed when running the following conf.
