I am experiencing the same problem at boot "nForce2_smbus 0000:00:01.1:
Error probing SMB2" no matter if i disable the restricted drivers.
Another thing is when i enable the nvidia restricted driver my xsplash
resolution on boot and log off splash drops down to a low resolution
like 800x600 but if i disable them it recognize the proper resolution of
1680x1050.
