The issue is since gone. If I remember correctly, my wireless began acting funny so I compiled the drivers from Broadcom and installed them, which fixed the strange behavior and the error messages. The keyboard and mouse still don't work together in games such as OpenArena, but plugging a mouse in not only fixes that but helps me play. :D
