Hi Jeremy,

In the great British countryside broadband speeds aren't necessarily
much above 'clockwork'!

I went to the DVD download and got an estimated download time of just
under 2 days! I tried the CD image instead and that was 8 hours [fyi:
best download speed achievable here is 30 kb/s].

I am awaiting the return of a friend currently stuck in New Zealand
[thanks to ash cloud flight catch up delays] to download and post.

Oh how I miss Canonical's 'request a CD' offering!! [why the heck didn't
they just ask for contributions instead of stopping it?]

I WILL get back to you with result as soon as I have got or downloaded a
usable image [3 attempts so far and have had to stop as download option
fails on a resume if connection momentarily dropped].
