[Bug 567005] Re: Lucid won't boot

I was eventually able to cure the problem - though I have no idea what I 
did - and I am both capable at this and meticulous. I do embedded 
systems for a living, I can build a linux boot environoment. But I was 
unfamiliar with the new ubuntu /etc/init system. While trying to debug 
what was happening things suddenly started working.
