[Bug 557072] Re: system does not power off

I also removed all modules with the same result.
I tried building a kernel after making a config with almost no hardware
drivers but upon install it doesn't make a new ram disk.
I'm not familiar with the debian build process so, I'll have to figure it
out after finals.
