Public bug reported:

My issue is similar to #304475, but I was asked to file a new bug report
for my specific hardware.

The problem is that several minutes after login, my logitech USB mouse
stops working correctly. First, left-click functionality is lost, and
right when its lost the mouse acts as if I'm holding down the left-click
button (eg if the mouse fails while on Firefox, if I drag the mouse
around it will highlight all of the text in the web page - without me
pressing any buttons). When the left-click functionality first drops, I
can still click around with the right click, but soon that functionality
gets lost as well.

To remedy the problem, I use sudo service gdm restart. When Ubuntu logs
me back in, the mouse works without a problem for the remainder of the
session.
