i can reproduce on 2.6.32-21-generic and on 2.6.34-020634rc5
steps to reproduce.
* suspend and the resume
* this causes a kernel warning (see attached) looks like Bug #553709
* apport starts to collect data for this trace, then the CPU monitor shows lots of activity and IOwait for several minutes, dmesg gets spammed with
Apr 29 20:03:28 oberon kernel: [  460.932504] ioatdma 0000:00:08.0: reset
then machine locks up.
after a reboot i can see the BUG: soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck for 61s! [apport-gtk:14646] in /var/log/syslog
