I ran sudo bash /usr/share/checkbox/scripts/suspend_test --full after
reviving the machine today (so after a fresh boot) as instructed at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeam/SuspendResumeTesting -- and did not
get a hang. Puzzled...
